For 2023, the EU-ASEAN Youth Sustainable Project Competition is back to invite ASEAN Youth to nominate projects that fit into the Global Gateway and the European Green Deal framework. The EU Global Gateway stands for sustainable and trusted connections that work for the people and the planet. It is designed as a tool to help tackle the most pressing global challenges, from mitigating the impacts of climate change to improving health systems and boosting competitiveness and security of global supply chains. Participants could also nominate projects that are in line with the European Green Deal.

The European Green Deal is the EU’s commitment to overcome the challenges of climate change and environmental degradation by ensuring no net emissions of greenhouse gases by 2050, decoupling economic growth from resource use and ensuring a just green transition with no person and no place left behind.

Alongside with other 9 notable projects, Karbon Biru is selected and receive mentorship to learn about Green Business Landscape and Project Communications from EU and ASEAN experts.
